The team here at Okanagan Photography shoots this Classic Wedding at one of our favourite spots: La Punta Norte in Summerland, British Columbia. This South Okanagan landscape can almost be mistaken for the Southwest! We love this location since its open yet cozy outdoor space is sheltered by adobe-inspired structures. Sun-baked plaster walls provide a clean canvas for embellishments. Matte terracotta decor, and most of all, glossy and vibrant Mexican tiles pop into your field of vision. Golden hills of dried out grass lay against each other, while Sagebrush and Ponderosas frame the deep, dark Okanagan Lake in playful contrast. Lush rows of grapevines meander upwards from the shore, almost heaving with this year’s purple bounty.

The wedding party stands out beautifully against the arid and hilly vista, due to their spot-on styling. They look impeccable, decked out in fitting shades of deep lavender, soft navy, and laid-back and lacy whites. A playful twist on the traditional has each bridesmaid modeling their own unique combination of flattering separates. Local florist Blue Sage Farm pulls off Classic, yet complimentary arrangements of flowers in creamy whites with splashes of fuschia.

A gorgeous and dynamic reception follows, giving us ample opportunity to capture the energy of the party. They absolutely killed it on the dance floor, even with their canine friend!
