Some say it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day, and some say the opposite. Smoky skies though? Let’s just say it didn’t stop the good times from rolling out for this gorgeous couple on their special day. See for yourself here: shot by Kelowna wedding photographers Memorable and Vibrant Okanagan Photography.
Our bride walked in sparkling heels with rhinestones in white and rose gold. Elegant details like sheer fabrics, covered buttons, and a loosely-curled and braided chignon tied the whole look together with a delicately-placed pink rose in her hair. During the ceremony, the bridal party held bouquets of roses, white orchids, dark dahlias and baby’s breath tied in satin laced ribbons. Their soft burgundy gowns and matching groomsmen’s bowties played upon the rich tones of ripe grapes on the vines.
Following their vows, the newlyweds danced and held each other amongst the vineyard rows where the curves of the vine stalks mimicked the flowy shapes of our bride’s train flowing around her. With the formalities out of the way, it was time to go let loose and celebrate this beautiful union with heaps of delicious food and an all-night dance party. This pair of cuties even managed to sneak in a few smooches behind the bouquet en route to the reception.
Arriving at the Laurel Packinghouse, train bustled up, cocktails in hand, and hugs all around, the festivities could begin! The cupcakes were simply chic topped with buttercream icing rosettes in dark mauve, periwinkle and cream. The cake, too, was adorned with layer upon layer of creamy icing rosettes. Did we mention there was cake?
All in all, the evening could not have ended on a sweeter note. Our lovebirds swayed together to the music, lost in each other’s gaze – while their guests danced around them – happily basking in the warmth of their love.
We truly wish you two all the best in this next phase of your journey together. May your lives unfold as beautifully and as organically as this beautiful wedding did. Cheers, from our team to yours!
